Bergendal Group consists of a group of companies that aim to realise the vision of the group to generate value by serving the Lowveld and greater Southern Africa and global food security through sustainable farming practices.
The Group is structured in such a way as to ensure that the three main pillars of the Group is expertly managed and sustainably resourced with a clear vision of what is to come. At the core of this vision is the belief that excellence lies in doing the ordinary daily tasks exceptionally.
These three pillars consist of:
Abattoir
A high-throughput red meat abattoir focusing on the slaughtering of pigs
Piggery
A 532-sow unit piggery which will be expanded to a 1200 sow unit
Farm
A 187-ha fruit and vegetable farm on which macadamia nuts, avocados and various vegetables are produced
