Bergendal Abattoir is a high-throughput three species red meat abattoir specializing in the slaughtering of pigs. Bergendal Abattoir prides itself on its certification by the Mpumalanga Veterinary Provincial Health and is a proud member of the Red Meat Abattoir Association (RMAA). Meat slaughtered from this facility is independently inspected and classified by Food Safety Agency (FSA).

Bergendal Abattoir serves clients ranging from individuals to large meat wholesalers and resellers in five of the nine South African provinces, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, Limpopo, North-West and KwaZulu Natal.
Bergendal Group seeks to register this facility as an export abattoir soon and therefore various upgrades, additions and improved technological applications are in the pipeline.

The group also specialises in wholesale meat sales and supply.
